Supernatural is a U.S. based television series that initially went on the air in 2005 on The WB television network. The WB ultimately merged with UPN to form The CW television network. The CW is now the home for Supernatural which has been renewed in 2008 for a fifth season.
As they suggests, Supernatural is a television program that involves demons and other paranormal characters. It is considered to be a drama and horror show. At the heart of the plot line of Supernatural is the adventures of two brothers who hunt these demons and paranormal creatures from episode to episode.

Once they find him, the show becomes about killing Azazel, the yellow-eyed demon responsible for the death of their own mother some 23 years prior. When Azazel killed Mary Winchester, he also infected the infant Sam with demon blood. This has allowed Sam to manifest powerful psychic gifts as an adult.
More recently, season four of the show began with Dean awakening dazed and confused in a grave. He has been rescued by an angel named Castiel on orders from God. Sam on the other hand, has further developed his abilities during the months that Dean has been considered dead.
Throughout its time on the air, Supernatural has developed a dedicated following of viewers. Additionally, the show remains one of the highest rated offerings on The CW television network.
